Unit & cycle details
e.g. wheat or paddy straw.
Results
How it's calculated
- Substrate = bags × kg/bag × ₹/kg
- Spawn = substrate kg × spawn% × ₹/kg
- Yield = bags × (1 − contamination%) × yield/bag
- Profit = yield × price − cycle cost; ROI = profit ÷ cycle cost × 100
- Payback = setup cost ÷ profit per cycle
Assumptions
Setup cost is kept separate from cycle ROI. Yield depends heavily on species, substrate, hygiene and climate. All prices shown are editable illustrations.
Worked example
500 bags × 2 kg straw at ₹6, 10% spawn at ₹120/kg, ₹5/bag, ₹15,000 other → cycle cost ₹35,500. 450 good bags × 1.2 kg = 540 kg × ₹150 = ₹81,000 → profit ₹45,500, ROI 128.2%, payback 1.8 cycles.
