Overview
FarmingRoots.in ("Farming Roots", "we") provides free farming calculators and educational content. This policy explains what information is involved when you use the site as it currently operates.
Calculators and browser storage
The calculators run in your web browser. The numbers you type into a calculator are processed on your device and are not sent to our servers by the calculators.
The Farm Expense Tracker and Crop Calendar save your entries in your browser's local storage on your device. We cannot see, recover or back up this data. You can delete it at any time by clearing your browser's site data. Both tools let you export your entries to a CSV file that is saved on your device.
Blog articles
Our blog at farmingroots.in/blog/ runs on WordPress on the same domain. When you open a page showing "Latest from Our Blog", your browser requests the latest articles from that WordPress site. Like any web request, this involves your IP address and browser details reaching our hosting server.
If comments are enabled on the blog and you leave one, WordPress stores the name, email address and comment you submit, and may store your IP address, to display and moderate comments.
Contact
The contact page opens your own email app. If you email us, we receive your email address and message and use them to reply.
Server logs
Like most websites, our hosting provider may record standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) for security and maintenance.
Cookies, analytics and advertising
The main website does not currently use advertising or third-party analytics. WordPress may set its own cookies, for example when you leave a comment or log in. If we add services such as advertising or analytics in future, we will update this policy before or when they are introduced.
External links
Links to other sites, such as our YouTube channel, are governed by those sites' own privacy policies.
Affiliate links
See our Affiliate Disclosure.
Children
This site is intended for a general audience and does not knowingly collect information from children.
