Crop Comparison Tool

Compare up to four crops on cost, expected yield, revenue, estimated profit and ROI using the same land area.

Crops to compare (per acre values)

CropTotal costRevenueProfitProfit / acreROI
Wheat₹28,000₹46,000₹18,000₹18,00064.3%
Mustard₹18,000₹44,800₹26,800₹26,800148.9%
ChickpeaHighest profit₹20,000₹48,600₹28,600₹28,600143%

How it's calculated

  • Revenue = yield per acre × price × area
  • Total cost = cost per acre × area
  • Profit = revenue − total cost; ROI = profit ÷ cost × 100

Assumptions

All crops are compared on the same land area and season, using quintals and ₹ per quintal. Example values are illustrative only — replace them with your own local figures. Consider water need, market access, risk and crop rotation, not just profit.

Worked example

1 acre wheat: cost ₹28,000, 20 qtl × ₹2,300 = ₹46,000 revenue → profit ₹18,000, ROI 64.3%.

These figures are estimates based only on the values you enter. Actual costs, yields and market prices vary by location, season and practice. This is not financial advice or a guarantee of profit.
